Synergy Marine Group has appointed Vikas Trivedi as Co-CEO – Ship Management, a move that highlights its focus on operational strength and dependable delivery across vessel types and global markets.
Trivedi will head the Group’s Tanker and Gas Carrier division. He’ll work alongside Ajay Chaudhry, who continues to lead the Dry fleet. The leadership pairing aims to provide clear direction in a rapidly changing industry, shaped by new regulations and shifting client priorities.
”With Vikas and Ajay leading our divisions, we are reinforcing what Synergy stands for, dependable delivery, operational depth, and a relentless focus on quality,” said Jesper Kristensen, Group CEO, Synergy Marine Group.

Commenting on his appointment, Vikas Trivedi said: ”What inspires me at Synergy is the calibre and commitment of its people. As the industry navigates the energy transition, my focus will be on building practical capabilities”.
Trivedi brings nearly 25 years of experience in ship management. Also, he is a Class 1 Marine Chief Engineer and a graduate of DMET Kolkata. Before joining Synergy, he served as Managing Director at a major global ship manager. In addition, his background includes work on alternative fuel projects, especially ammonia, and contributions to industry safety programs.
With over 700 ships under management, Synergy ranks among the world’s top ship managers. It leads in dual-fuel operations and supports various decarbonisation efforts.
Lastly, this leadership boost comes at a critical time, as shipowners seek reliable, capable partners to help them meet future operational and environmental demands.
