Svitzer reshuffles leadership in the Americas and Europe

Daniel Reedtz Cohen, Arjen Van Dijk

Svitzer has announced changes to its leadership in the Americas and Europe, effective 1 January 2026.

Arjen Van Dijk will move from his role as Managing Director of Svitzer Americas to lead the company’s European business. He has led operations in the Americas for the past six years, during a period of strong regional growth.

Svitzer now operates in 13 countries across the Americas and runs more than 100 vessels in the region. The fleet serves 26 ports in South and Central America, the Caribbean and Canada.

Daniel Reedtz Cohen will succeed Van Dijk as Managing Director of Svitzer Americas. He has been with the company for 12 years and spent the last nine years in Brazil, most recently as Managing Director.

Both Van Dijk and Reedtz Cohen will join Svitzer’s Executive Leadership Team. They will report to CEO Kasper Friis Nilaus.

Svitzer said the leadership changes support its continued focus on safe, reliable towage services and long-term growth across key global markets.
