Surcharges’ changes of Hapag-Lloyd

Due to improving water levels on the St. Lawrence River we would like to inform you that with effect from October 22, 2018 (B/L Date) Hapag-Lloyd will suspend the Low Water Surcharge for all cargoes originating in North Europe.

Also, German shipping giant will implement a Congestion Surcharge Destination (CGD) at Yemen for all Import FCL deliveries effective November 1, 2018 for all origins (excluding USA and other US territories). The Congestion Surcharge Destination will be valid until further notice, as follows:

  • Congestion Surcharge Destination (CGD): USD 150 per TEU
