Supergasbras boosts LPG delivery with Descartes Routing

Descartes Systems Group announced that Supergasbras has modernized its gas distribution operations using Descartes’ cloud-based route planning and fleet management solution.

Supergasbras is one of Brazil’s leading LPG distributors. The company manages more than 400 trucks, employs over 900 people, and delivers more than 400,000 tons of LPG each month across the country. The new solution supports route planning, execution, and fleet visibility across this complex national network.

“This project marks a new phase in our digital transformation,” said Matteo Lista Netto, National Logistics Intelligence Coordinator at Supergasbras. “Descartes made route planning faster, safer, and more transparent. The intuitive interface helped our teams adopt the system quickly, while regional filters allowed easy customization. We reduced stockouts, lowered costs, and improved delivery reliability, especially in regions with seasonal demand. Real-time data sharing also reduced rework caused by communication gaps.”

The Descartes solution automatically plans routes using up-to-date data, map-based customer views, and real-time visibility of tank levels, consumption rates, and demand. Control tower capabilities provide end-to-end visibility, from planning through delivery, enabling continuous optimization based on execution feedback.

The platform integrates with Supergasbras’ sales, finance, and billing systems, replacing manual file-based processes. Integration with the Faton billing application allows drivers to manage routes, deliveries, and invoicing in one system, reducing errors and administrative effort.

“We’re proud to support Supergasbras with greater control over its distribution operations,” said Lee Karlinsky, Senior Vice President at Descartes. “This project shows that logistics innovation comes from combining technology with a deep understanding of real-world operational workflows.”
