Speed up delivery concept for KAMAZ PTC by Eurosib

The “Eurosib SPb–Transport systems” company has implemented expedited delivery of automotive products for KAMAZ PTC. Transportation was carried out under the freight forwarding contract concluded in July 2018 following the results of the tender. It was performed according to an alternative logistics scheme developed by the operator specifically for KAMAZ. The new scheme involves the organization of direct delivery from Europe to Naberezhnye Chelny in containers by rail.

Container train followed from the station Wörth (Germany) to “Krugloe Pole” railway station (Naberezhnye Chelny, Russia) through the border crossing point in Brest (Belarus). Transit time of cargo delivery was eight days, which is two to three times faster than similar delivery by sea route.

The train transported 88 TEUs with auto components for the production of heavy vehicles on KAMAZ site.

In addition to railway transportation, Eurosib has provided “Last Mile” delivery from the destination railway station to customer’s production area by road as a part of “door-to-door” service. Transportation for KAMAZ by direct rail from Europe to Russia was carried out in test mode. Technical capabilities and competence in the field of freight forwarding allow the operator to provide this service regularly up to 4 times a month.
