Songa Iridium, YM says grounded vessel still held by Turkey

Yang Ming has said its chartered vessel, Songa Iridium, which  ran aground in the Bosporous on 27, is still being detained by Turkey’s Coastal Safety.

According to the vessel operator the Coastal Safety of Turkey has just obtained the cargo value assessment report from its own source.

The company reported, “YM is trying our best, working with related parties to resolve the situation we are facing,” the shipping company added, “This is a very difficult case and your understanding is appreciated.”
