Skikda to build new 240,000 TEU terminal

The port of Skikda in Algeria has unveiled plans to develop a new 240,000 TEU container terminal, scheduled to become operational in 2027.

DynaLiners notes that the facility will feature a 323-metre quay, 15.4-metre draught and 15 hectares of storage area.

The terminal will be equipped with three ship-to-shore cranes and ten RTGs, increasing the port’s overall handling capacity to approximately 600,000 TEU once completed.
