Ship liners in Chittagong barred from imposing surcharges: license of nine ships cancelled, reinstated

Two Maerskline container vessels took berth at the Chittagong Port jetties on Wednesday, October 22, after staying nearly a week at the outer anchorage of the port as their licenses were cancelled due to violation of surcharge rules by the company.

These vessels—Maersk Norddal and Maersk Keelung—came to the Chittagong water on 15 and 16 October respectively and were floating at the outer anchorage with boxes onboard. Their permission was cancelled on October 16.
