The number of second hand transactions in the container ship market has remained high, according to UK shipbroker Braemar, with the Germany-based Elbdeich Reederei acquiring three sister boxships from the German shipowner Wessels Reederei.

In addition, the UK broker reported that the 4,506TEU vessel CO Osaka built in 2008 by Samsung Heavy Industries was committed at US$20.5 million, the 2013-built by Hanjin Heavy Industries (Hanjin H.I.)
