SeaLead opens new office in South Korea

SeaLead has officially launched its new office in Seoul, South Korea aiming to expand its presence in East Asia and capitalize on the region’s burgeoning intra-Asia trade.

The Seoul office will serve as a regional hub, connecting logistics providers, freight forwarders, local manufacturers, and exporters with SeaLead’s global network and enhanced shipping solutions.

“Our new office in Seoul reinforces our commitment to meeting the rising demand for efficient shipping solutions across East Asia. South Korea is a vital market for us, and by establishing a stronger presence here, we are better positioned to support logistics companies, forwarders, manufacturers and exporters with seamless access to our network,” stated Ashok Pillay, Regional Managing Director of North and Southeast Asia at SeaLead.

South Korea plays a pivotal role in international trade with CN recent data revealing that in August alone, the country handled 367,000 TEUs in trade with eight other Asian economies, marking a 12% year-on-year increase.

The opening of the Seoul office follows SeaLead’s recent expansions in Malaysia and India. The new office is expected to bolster the company’s ability to serve high-demand trade routes, including those leveraging the expanding Transpacific trade.

“Establishing a dedicated office in Seoul brings us closer to our customers, allowing us to respond swiftly to their needs and adapt to market demands. South Korea is essential to our growth in the region, and with this local presence, we can help industries navigate
regional and global trade channels with confidence,” commented the managing director of the new office, Brian You.
