Sealand – A Maersk Company updates AC2 service

Sealand – a Maersk Company is modifying the AC2 network as of December 2018 in order to improve its product offering and optimize the Latin America / West Coast South America (AC) network. The service’s addition of a Balboa, Panama call after Buenaventura, Colombia will provide greater port coverage and faster transit time.

The optimized network will deliver higher value to Sealand – A Maersk Company’s customers offering them better market coverage, direct services, combined with a vast network across the Americas.

Other benefits of the new AC network include:

•    Maersk operates 100% of the AC2 fleet
•    One of the fastest transit times in the market
•    Balboa offers dedicated access to Panama City market
•    One day transit between Buenaventura, Colombia, and Balboa, Panama
•    Connectivity to the full Sealand Americas Network via Balboa and Manzanillo including those ports serviced by the SAE, NAE, TP-16, WCCA, and WCCA2 services.

Effective on December 12th the new re-designed AC2 will be:

AC2: Manzanillo (Mexico), Lazaro Cardenas, Balboa, Buenaventura, Balboa, Manzanillo (Mexico). To view the updated map, download it here.
