SeaCube Cold Solutions (SCS) has partnered with The Wonderful Company to open its primary California depot in Shafter. The site will support SCS operations with reefer container storage, maintenance, and repair.
The move strengthens SeaCube’s footprint in the Southwest and marks a key step in expanding its cold storage network. Backed by over 30 years of experience through SeaCube Container Leasing, SCS continues to invest in strategic infrastructure.
”We’re excited to launch operations at the Shafter, California depot, where we are establishing a significant refrigerated container presence to support not only California’s Central Valley but also a 250-mile radius. This location strategically extends our reach across the West Coast, including Arizona and Nevada, ”stated James Armstrong, Senior Vice President, SeaCube Cold Solutions.
The Shafter depot sits in a less congested logistics park with direct routes to the Los Angeles basin. In addition, the depot will serve as a hub for both storage and maintenance of SeaCube refrigerated containers. It’s SeaCube’s first, and currently only, reefer operation at the site.
