Sea Technology Floating Terminal receives DNV AiP

Sweden’s Sea Technology has received Approval in Principle (AiP) from DNV for its modular Sea Technology Floating Terminal (STFT). The design targets waters up to 1,000 metres deep and measures approximately 600–700 metres long, 360 metres wide, with a draft of 17–18 metres.

The terminal could handle 5–6 million TEU and can be configured as a standalone or integrated Ro/Ro facility. Sea Technology will continue engineering and classification work, collaborating with Meyer Floating Solutions to further develop the concept.

The AiP confirms the design’s compliance with classification standards, paving the way for next-generation deepwater port solutions.
