Sea Lead adds three industry veterans to commercial team

Sea Lead has announced the recent appointment of Bernd Meyer as global director, sales and business development, Cas Pouderoyen as managing director, Americas and Ashwin Pavan as global director, trade management.

Meyer and Pavan will be based in Singapore and Pouderoyen in Long Beach (US) and all of them will report to the managing director of Sea Lead, Henry Schmidl.

This action follows the appointment of Henry Schmidl as managing director in April and clearly demonstrates Sea Lead’s focus on products, services and growth opportunities along with increased management capabilities.

“We are delighted to be able to bring three highly capable and experienced commercial leaders on board. Bernd will work to develop our core commercial competencies from our HQ in Singapore, alongside Ashwin, who will focus on product, services, and commercial propositions, while Cas will manage our commercial and agency relationships for the Americas region,” noted Schmidl.

With over twenty years of experience in business development, Meyer joins Sea Lead from Agility where he was responsible for commercial operations in North Asia. Before that, he held executive and management positions in several companies in the Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America region.

Pouderoyen has more than 30 years of experience in shipping and logistics. Prior to joining Sea Lead, he was head of global ocean freight at Agility and has a track record of senior appointments in shipping and logistics.

Finally, Pavan also has extensive experience in shipping and logistics, both on the carrier and shipper sides. He joins Sea Lead after a previous role as owner’s representative APAC for CargoGulf.
