Kerry Logistics Network Limited (‘Kerry Logistics’; Stock Code 0636.HK), has started to rebrand its subsidiary Saga Italia S.p.A. (‘Saga Italia’) as Kerry Project Logistics. Following the acquisition in June, the rebranding supports Kerry Logistics’ growth plans regarding its project logistics business line.
Saga Italia is Kerry Logistics’ latest acquisition. Its specialized know-how combined with strategically located premises in Africa and Central Asia leverage the successful development of this business line within the global Kerry Logistics network.
The rebranding process has started with Saga Italia’s headquarters in Milan and the country office in Dubai. By the end of November, all Saga Italia entities will be officially renamed Kerry Project Logistics. The one-brand approach will support a smooth integration, promote brand awareness, and demonstrate the close coalescence of both companies. Looking ahead, a uniform and strong Kerry Logistics brand with one common corporate identity for all employees shall be created.
With the acquisition of Saga Italia, Kerry Logistics added three countries, the Republic of Congo, Uganda, and Egypt, to its network as well as new offices in Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, Russia, and the US. The entities in Central Asia are located in proximity to the trade routes of the Belt and Road initiative.
Thomas Blank, Managing Director of Europe, Kerry Logistics, said, “Our customers in the region are already benefiting from the synergies created by combining our project logistics expertise and Kerry Logistics’ strong network for road, rail, and multimodal freight services from China to Central Asia and the Europe, the Middle East, and Africa region.”
Marco Oriolo, Managing Director of Kerry Project Logistics, added, “Joining the Kerry Logistics network in June was an exciting new chapter in Saga Italia’s history. The rebranding as Kerry Project Logistics is the next logical step necessary to move forward as a strong unified brand and to take advantage of the recognition of being part of the global Kerry Logistics network.”
