Russian missile strike hits Odesa Port

According to Reuters, a Russian airstrike targeted port infrastructure in Ukraine’s southern city of Odesa, killing two people and injuring six others, including two foreign nationals. Ukrainian officials confirmed the attack struck a critical part of the country’s export infrastructure on the Black Sea.

Roughly 90% of Ukraine’s exports move through the Odesa seaport hub. The port has become a frequent target of Russian attacks, particularly after Ukraine established a maritime export corridor along the Black Sea’s western coast in 2023. Moscow claims such strikes are intended to disrupt Ukraine’s wartime logistics.

The latest strike underscores the ongoing threat to Ukraine’s maritime trade infrastructure amid escalating regional tensions.
