RoadOne buys Ace Transport Miami LLC

RoadOne IntermodaLogistics, a provider of intermodal, warehousing, and logistics services, announced the purchase of Ace Transport Miami LLC, a provider of intermodal and transload services in Miami, Florida.

In the future, the firm will be known as Ace IntermodaLogistics and will be a division of RoadOne.

According to the statement, Ace is a top-five logistics and transportation carrier in the Miami region, with 70 drivers serving the Southern Florida market and a fleet of 300 company-owned chassis that give value to clients by assuring chassis availability when needed.

Ace has established itself as a niche supplier carrying overweight shipments out of Port Miami and Port Everglades and is one of the few carriers in the Southern Florida market today that handles overweight containers. Furthermore, the company’s Miami warehouse of approximately 9,330m² serves transload and distribution services for import and export goods travelling via the ports of Miami and Everglades.

Rudy Alvarez, founder and owner of Ace Transport Miami LLC, and his brother, David Alvarez, vice president of the company’s operations department, will remain as shareholders in RoadOne IntermodaLogistics and continue to run the day-to-day operations of the company, working alongside the RoadOne team.
