Rhenus has expanded its presence in the United Arab Emirates with the opening of a new office in Abu Dhabi. The move supports the group’s long-term growth strategy in the Middle East.
The new office sits next to Abu Dhabi International Airport. This location places Rhenus close to major aviation and industrial customers. It allows faster response times and stronger operational support.
The site operates as an ADAFZ free zone entity within Abu Dhabi Business Park 01. This setup ensures easy access and efficient handling of logistics operations.
From the Abu Dhabi office, Rhenus will offer end-to-end logistics services. These include air, ocean and overland freight, as well as customs brokerage and warehousing.
The office targets key sectors in the UAE economy. These include oil and gas, industrial logistics and aeroparts.
The Abu Dhabi operation functions as a branch of Rhenus’ Dubai office. It strengthens the company’s national network and improves service coverage across the Emirates.
The expansion follows several recent developments in the UAE. In 2025, Rhenus upgraded its operating model to boost service delivery across the Gulf. The company also increased its focus on sectors such as fast-moving consumer goods, fashion, aerospace and high-tech.
Rhenus recently launched a new Air-Ocean product linking Asia, Europe and the Americas. The UAE plays a central role as a transshipment hub in this service.
The company has also secured major event logistics contracts in the region. Rhenus will serve as the exclusive logistics and freight-forwarding partner for INDEX exhibitions in 2026 and 2027.
Ameen Sainudeen, Branch Manager of Rhenus Abu Dhabi, said the opening marks a key milestone for the company’s regional strategy.
“Our proximity to the airport gives us a clear advantage,” he said. “It allows us to support high-growth sectors with greater efficiency and reliability.”
Hassan Alzeer, Managing Director of Rhenus Logistics UAE, said the move strengthens the company’s position in the local market.
“This expansion brings us closer to key industries,” he said. “It improves our ability to deliver high-quality, end-to-end supply chain solutions across the UAE.”
Rhenus now operates more than 1,330 locations in over 70 countries worldwide. The group continues to grow its network in major global logistics markets.
