Rhenus Group has inaugurated a new warehouse facility in Paranaque, Metro Manila, marking a further step in the company’s expansion strategy across the Philippines and the broader Asia-Pacific region.
The opening adds to an existing network of seven facilities spread across Manila, Cagayan de Oro and Davao, strengthening Rhenus’s nationwide logistics coverage.
The 7,320 square metre multi-user facility is positioned within the National Capital Region with direct access to the South Luzon Expressway via the Sucat interchange, providing efficient connectivity to major business districts and transport corridors.
The warehouse features ceiling heights of approximately 20 metres with full insulation, and incorporates a comprehensive security infrastructure including optical beam smoke detectors, sprinkler systems, mechanical cross ventilation, 24-hour security personnel, full CCTV coverage with 60-day video retention and an intruder alarm system.
Sustainability is embedded in the facility’s design, with LED lighting, solar panel provision and skylights for natural light all incorporated to reduce the building’s carbon footprint.
The warehouse is currently pursuing ISO certifications across Quality Management, Environmental Management, and Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.
Marcus Fornell, Regional Head of Rhenus APAC Warehousing Solutions, described the new facility as an enhancement to the company’s logistics network in the region, supporting more efficient and sustainable operations for clients with diverse supply chain requirements.
The opening comes against a favourable market backdrop. The Philippine freight and logistics sector is valued at approximately US$ 16.20 billion in 2026 and is projected to reach US$ 21.60 billion by 2031, reflecting sustained growth in one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic economies.
