Pusan Newport Company has joined the Portchain Connect network. The terminal will use the platform to simplify and speed up berth planning with shipping lines.
Portchain announced the partnership on 9 October 2025 in Copenhagen.
Pusan Newport Company will use Portchain Connect to improve coordination with customers through digital communication and secure data sharing. The platform enables the terminal to exchange schedules electronically with shipping lines.
Portchain Connect allows Pusan Newport Company to receive real-time updates from carrier systems. These include vessel arrival times and move counts. The terminal can also respond quickly to schedule changes and submit counterproposals when needed.
The system helps align vessel schedules with the terminal’s berth plan. This reduces the risk of miscommunication and improves planning accuracy.
Portchain Connect shortens the time required to agree on berthing windows. It replaces manual communication with automated data exchange and allows users to manage all vessel calls from a single interface.
The platform also improves schedule reliability by ensuring that berth information flows securely and instantly between carriers and terminals.
Portchain said the agreement supports more transparent port operations.
“We’re proud to partner with Pusan Newport Company. This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to smarter, more transparent planning that benefits both terminals and shipping lines,” said Thor Thorup, Chief Commercial Officer and Co-founder of Portchain.
