PSA Ventures to accelerate sustainable innovation in global supply chains

PSA International has announced the evolution of its innovation and startup accelerator platform, PSA unboXed, into PSA Ventures—a venture capital arm and venture builder.

Building on the solid foundation of PSA unboXed, PSA Ventures will expand its scope beyond supporting startups. It will focus on commercializing intellectual property developed through partnerships with research institutions and like-minded organizations, while also engaging in traditional venture capital investments.

PSA Ventures will concentrate on four key points:

  • Terminal Technology: Developing next-generation port equipment and automation solutions.
  • Green Energy Transition: Investing in green and renewable technologies, including low- and zero-emission power generation and innovative energy vectors. This also encompasses equity stakes in advanced green power production assets beyond solar and wind, with a focus on optimizing the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) in challenging regions.
  • Supply Chain & Logistics: Delivering solutions that enhance supply chain resilience and value creation for Beneficial Cargo Owners (BCOs) and shippers, such as trade advisory tools, cargo flow optimization, and risk management systems.
  • Data & Digital: Advancing digital innovations to improve operational efficiency, enable data-driven decision-making, and bolster cybersecurity through agentic Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital trust frameworks, and emulation testing.

PSA Ventures aims to create lasting value by identifying high-potential opportunities, piloting cutting-edge technologies, and scaling them into transformative solutions for global implementation. Leveraging PSA’s extensive expertise, global network, and ecosystem partnerships, the initiative seeks to drive innovation and sustainability across the industry.

Adopting a venture-building approach, PSA Ventures will collaborate with partners to explore innovative business models and technologies, accelerating their transition from proof-of-concept to large-scale commercialization. This includes trailblazing advancements in areas such as solid-state electrical infrastructure, hydrogen and ammonia energy vectors, and the battery value chain, all contributing to a sustainable and efficient global supply chain transformation.
