Premier Alliance removes Jacksonville from EC2 Rotation

HMM Daon has a capacity of 16,010 TEUs, a beam of 51 meters, a length overall of 365.16 meters, and a gross tonnage of 152,003. The vessel is part of the Premiere Alliance consortium by HMM, Yang Ming, and Ocean Network Express (ONE), which facilitates imports from China and the Far East.

The Premier Alliance has announced a change to its Far East–US East Coast EC2 service, with Jacksonville temporarily removed from the rotation until further notice.

The revised port rotation for the EC2 service is now as follows:
Busan – Xiamen – Shenzhen (Yantian) – Ningbo – Shanghai – Busan – Colón (Manzanillo) – Savannah – Charleston – Colón (Manzanillo) – Busan.

The decision to bypass Jacksonville comes as part of the alliance’s ongoing efforts to optimize schedule reliability and vessel utilization across the transpacific route.

While no specific reason was provided, industry observers note that port congestion, shifting cargo demand, or operational realignment could be contributing factors.
