Ports of Valencia and Seville strengthen collaboration

The ports of Valencia and Seville will reinforce their collaboration in areas of sustainability, decarbonisation and connectivity, as announced by the presidents of the two port authorities, Aurelio Martínez and Rafael Carmona, during a meeting at the Port of Valencia.

Particularly, the two Spanish ports will continue to collaborate on projects to prevent climate change, as well as to improve efficiency and connectivity, and establish synergies that will benefit their operations and competitiveness.

The two parties have also decided to accelerate joint initiatives based on digitalisation, such as the I RAIL project, which aims to improve the interoperability of the rail system in ports through the exchange of information in a digital way, improving the efficiency and safety of the service.

The meeting was attended by the president Aurelio Martínez, the general manager Francesc Sánchez and the deputy president Manuel Guerra, on behalf of the Port Authority of Valencia (PAV), and the port authority president Rafael Carmona, the general manager Ángel Pulido and the head of business development Manuel González, on behalf of the Port Authority of Seville.

The working meeting was held by representatives from the port authorities of Valencia and Seville at the facilities of the Port of Valencia

After the meeting, the representatives of the port authority of Seville visited the facilities of the Port of Valencia, where they toured the South Counterdike, the North Extension and the CSP Iberian Valencia Terminal.
