Ports of Singapore and Antwerp-Bruges sign decarbonisation and digitalisation agreement

Port of Antwerp-Bruges and Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 21 March to collaborate on maritime decarbonisation and digitalisation.

This joint initiative is expected to strengthen the partnership between the two ports.

The agreement was signed by Jacques Vandermeiren, CEO of Port of Antwerp-Bruges, and Teo Eng Dih, Chief Executive of MPA, and provides a framework for the two partners to exchange information and explore collaboration in key areas of maritime decarbonisation and digitalisation.

Jacques Vandermeiren, CEO of Port of Antwerp-Bruges, stated: “This MoU marks a significant step in the energy and digital transition. At Port of Antwerp-Bruges, we are committed to pioneering towards a sustainable and secure future. We are committed to collaborating and exchanging knowledge within our partnerships. We look forward to working closely with MPA to achieve our shared goals.”

Teo Eng Dih, Chief Executive of MPA, commented: “Our collaboration with the Port of Antwerp-Bruges marks an important step in advancing our shared goals of maritime decarbonisation and digitalisation.
