The study will be conducted through UNIWA’s Postgraduate Program (MSc) “Organisation, Operation, Development and Administration of Ports” in collaboration with the Greek port, aiming at the exchange of knowledge and applied best practices.

The MoU which was signed by the Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors (BoD) of ThPA, Athanasios Liagkos, and the Rector of the University of West Attica, Professor Panagiotis Kaldis forms a framework of actions for joint initiatives that will lead to the broadening of the development prospects in international trade and maritime transport sectors, according to a statement.

In this context, Liagkos stated that the University of West Attica is an important ally in the port’s actions for continuous upgrading and development on multiple levels.

“The signing of this MoU is a springboard towards new activities, which will create efficient and sustainable practices, with mutual benefits for both sides, the port industry, the economy and society at large,” he commented.

Professor Panagiotis Kaldis highlighted that the jointly planned new actions will bring added value to Greece’s second-largest port.
