The Port of Los Angeles will close two key ramps near the Vincent Thomas Bridge for three months. The closures are part of the SR 47 Interchange Project.

Starting Monday, Aug. 18, crews will shut down the northbound I-110 on-ramp at Harbor Boulevard. They will also close the southbound SR 47 off-ramp at Harbor Boulevard. Work will continue until the new roadway and ramps open in November 2025. A realigned Knoll Drive will also debut at that time.

Drivers heading northbound on I-110 should use Gaffey Street in San Pedro. Access is available from 1st Street and Harbor Boulevard. Southbound SR 47 traffic will detour via Pacific Avenue to Harbor Boulevard.

Truck drivers should follow posted detour signs.

The SR 47 Interchange Project will replace the existing southbound off-ramp from the Vincent Thomas Bridge with a new ramp on the north side. It will also realign the northbound I-110 connector on-ramp, modify SR 47 access points, and improve nearby local streets.
