Port of Koper receives new box crane

The first of the two new ship to shore (STS) cranes arrived at the port of Koper in Slovenia on 29 April.

As its older cranes, which were delivered in 2017, it has an outreach of 24 container rows, but with some latest electronic upgrades which ensure even more safe operations and higher productivity, said the port in a statement.

The Slovenian port added that the crane will be operational in three weeks, when all check-ups and tests are performed. Additionally, the second one is coming in about ten days.

After the delivery of the second crane, the container terminal will have a total of 11 STS cranes.
