Port of Felixstowe welcomes Premier Alliance’s FE4 Asia-Europe service

Hutchison Ports’ Port of Felixstowe has officially welcomed the inaugural call of the Premier Alliance’s FE4 service, a major Asia–North Europe route.

The 24,000 TEU vessel HMM Southampton arrived at the UK’s busiest container port on 20 July 2025, completing its journey from Singapore via the Cape of Good Hope.

The complete port rotation of the FE4 service is: Felixstowe – Rotterdam – Hamburg – Le Havre – Algeciras – Singapore – Kaohsiung – Shanghai – Ningbo – Kaohsiung – Yantian – Cai Mep – Singapore – Felixstowe.

Clemence Cheng, Executive Director of Hutchison Ports and CEO of the Port of Felixstowe, welcomed the new service, stating Felixstowe has long been the UK’s leading gateway for trade with Asia. The addition of the FE4 service strengthens the port’s role and offers shippers more options through our first-class infrastructure.

Peter Livey, Managing Director of HMM (Great Britain), highlighted the strategic importance of the service, saying this new loop improves the UK port coverage and delivers faster transit times with priority access, offering enhanced flexibility and resilience for the customers.

Takahiro Kikuchi, Managing Director of Ocean Network Express, added that Felixstowe has long been a key port for Yang Ming in the UK and by returning with the upgraded FE4 service through the Premier Alliance allows them to offer broader service scope and improved coverage.
