Port of Ashdod has earned a major international recognition, securing 9th place in Sea-Intelligence’s 2025 Global Port Reliability Index, its first appearance in the influential global ranking.
Compiled by leading maritime analytics firm Sea-Intelligence, the index evaluates 202 ports worldwide based on schedule reliability, forecast accuracy, and operational performance under heavy traffic.
Also, for Ashdod Port Company, the recognition reflects years of investment in infrastructure, digital systems, and workforce development aimed at boosting reliability and service consistency.
”This is a strategic achievement that reflects an ongoing, in-depth transformation involving substantial investment in infrastructure, technology, and our human capital. Today, 9 out of the world’s 10 largest shipping companies now call at the Port of Ashdod weekly” said Shaul Schneider, Chairman of the Board, Ashdod Port Company.
Sea-Intelligence’s index draws on 14 years of vessel call data. Additionally, is considered one of the most trusted barometers of port performance in the global maritime sector. Ports with consistent scheduling, transparent communication with shipping lines, and the ability to handle high volumes of vessel traffic tend to rise to the top.
”Meeting schedules is far more than just a slogan – it’s a daily operational challenge that requires the commitment of all our employees. This achievement is proof that even in times of uncertainty and global challenges, the employees of Ashdod Port continue to demonstrate exceptional dedication”, stated Nissan Levy, CEO, Ashdod Port Company.
