DSP, through its US branch DSP America, has entered into a key agreement with Port Houston to provide critical processing and maintenance support for the port’s Electronic Data Interchange messaging and database systems.
This partnership highlights DSP’s specialization in terminal operations technology and supports Port Houston’s ongoing efforts to enhance efficiency and sustainability across its operations.
Houston port’s operations are powered by the Navis N4 Terminal Operating System, which uses EDI messaging to coordinate container flows with major stakeholders, including US Customs, shipping lines, rail operators, and port customers.
The agreement, signed on 20 February 2025, assigns DSP the responsibility of managing Port Houston’s EDI messaging infrastructure and providing continued support for its various databases.
This collaboration is in line with Port Houston’s strategic vision to be the most efficient deep seaport on the US Gulf Coast.
Ryan Mariacher, Chief Port Operations Officer at Port Houston note that this new collaboration helps ensure smooth and secure communication with global partners, supporting fast, transparent, and efficient cargo movement through the terminals.
