Port of Corpus Christi and RAPPORT discussion

On Tuesday, August 7, 2018, Port of Corpus Christi staff and Port Commission members will welcome stakeholders and community members to the latest stop on the Port’s town hall series, RAPPORT Laredo. RAPPORT brings community members together with Port representatives and officials for open dialogue and updates on Port activities, at a time when the Port is undergoing several critical expansion and improvement projects.

Special guest, Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28), is slated to speak at the event. Congressman Cuellar has been an active supporter of the Corpus Christi Ship Channel Improvement Project. Earlier this year, Cuellar joined other Members of the Texas Congressional Delegation to pen a letter to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), imploring the USACE to designate more discretionary funding to the project.

The Port began its new town hall series, RAPPORT, in 2017, as an exchange of ideas, and an opportunity to learn more about what is going on at the Energy Port of the Americas. To date, the Port has hosted forums in Midland and Portland, Texas, in Corpus Christi at the Del Mar College Center for Economic Development, on North Padre Island and in San Antonio at The Studio at The Historic Pearl. Port Corpus Christi invites the Laredo business community to this upcoming event to explore opportunities for collaboration and business development.
