Pacific International Lines (PIL) has completed its first intermodal shipment from Beira, Mozambique, to Chegutu, Zimbabwe. The journey covered more than 700 km by truck, delivering stranded wire, ropes, and cables in a single container.
The shipment moved via PIL’s Calcutta Express Service from Calcutta to Singapore, then through the Mozambique Feeder Service to Beira. From there, cargo travelled inland by truck to Chegutu.

PIL says the milestone highlights its ability to connect inland destinations to global trade routes through Beira. The company offers shipping services in Mozambique and Zimbabwe with strong local agency support and seamless cross-border delivery.
The carrier continues to expand logistics options across Africa, aiming to link more businesses to international markets.
