Pilbara Ports Authority reports steady volumes in May

Pilbara Ports Authority has announced a total monthly throughput of 62.5 million tonnes in May, which is slightly increased by 1% compared to the same month last year.

More spesifically, Port of Port Hedland achieved a monthly throughput of 48.6Mt, of which 48.2Mt was iron ore exports. At the same time, imports through the Port of Port Hedland totalled 196,000 tonnes, an increase of 19% compared to May 2022.

Moreover, the port of Dampier delivered a total throughput of 12.9Mt, which is a 3% increase from May 2022, while imports totalled 98,000 tonnes, an increase of 19% from May 2022.
