PIL upgrades its South America services

As from December 2018, PIL will offer an upgraded product for Asia to East Coast South America. PIL’s SSA (Sino South America Service) will add call to Qingdao & Sepetiba. SSA will be the only string that provides direct call from Qingdao to East Coast South America, and fastest transit time into Sepetiba.

To complement its first string, PIL will have an additional string linking Asia and East Coast South America, named SA2 (South America Service 2). The slots on SA2 will be provided through cooperation with COSCO, and CMA CGM. With this, PIL will be able to better serve its customers with a more comprehensive coverage at both Asia and East South America.

The revised port rotations of both loops are the following:

SSA
Qingdao – Shanghai – Ningbo – Shekou – Singapore – Sepetiba – Santos – Paranagua – Itapoa – Navegantes – Santos – Singapore – Qingdao

SA2
Shanghai – Ningbo – Yantian – Hongkong – Singapore – Rio De Janeiro – Santos – Paranagua – Navegantes – Montevideo – Buenos Aires – Rio Grande – Navegantes – Paranagua – Santos – Singapore – Hongkong

The first voyages under this new setup will be:

SSA:

  • MV Kota Lazim ETA QINGDAO December 13, 2018
  • MV Kota Lazim ETA PARANAGUA January 21, 2019

SA2:

  • MV Valor ETA SHANGHAI December 14, 2018
  • MV Valor ETA MONTEVIDEO January 23, 2019
