Philippines breaks ground on new container port project

The construction works have begun on the 375,900 TEU New Cebu International Container Port in the Philippines.

According to Dynamar, the new facility will be built on a 250,000m² reclaimed area in Tayud and will be equipped with a 500-metre berth line at a water depth of 12 metres.

The New Cebu International Container Port is expected to be capable of handling two 2,000 TEU vessels simultaneously.

The new facility is anticipated to be operational in the second quarter of 2028.
