PANGIA project: new platform for ship managers and operators

The PANGIA project, a partnership between Columbia Shipmanagement (CSM), Blue Dynamics (BD), and the Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute (CMMI), has been in the works for two years and is scheduled to begin in July 2023.

The European Union and the Republic of Cyprus are co-funding the initiative through the Research and Innovation Foundation.

Ship managers, operators, owners, and banks, among others, can benefit from the PANGIA tool.

Data management, standardisation, advanced data analytics and machine learning applications to discover patterns and aid in maintenance planning are among the services provided. Columbia’s clients benefit from better digitalisation powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) through PANGIA.

The Performance Optimisation Control Room (POCR) can collect and analyse a wide range of industry knowledge, allowing its clients to optimise their decision-making processes regardless of where any of their fleet’s vessels are situated.

“The PANGIA project has been the result of a productive collaboration between CSM, BD and CMMI, looking to produce a revolutionary new platform for ship managers and operators that integrates the currently fragmented capabilities of data collection and analysis,” stated Mark O’Neil, Columbia Group CEO.
