Ocean Network Express (ONE) has announced a revision to its ONE Bunker Surcharge (OBS) tariff, which will take effect on 1 January 2026. The surcharge will be reviewed quarterly, with any adjustments shared in advance.
As part of a simplification initiative, ONE will discontinue three existing fuel surcharges — the ECA Regulation Surcharge (ECA), Low Sulphur NE Outport (NEO) and Low Sulphur Mediterranean Outport (MEO) — beginning in January 2026. From that point forward, the OBS will be the single fuel-related surcharge across applicable trades, aiming to simplify invoicing and create a more streamlined fee structure for customers.
ONE noted that the calculation method for the updated OBS has been aligned with common industry practices. The revised surcharge will apply to non-FMC regulated trades and to FMC-regulated trades, including Canada, starting 1 January 2026.
The OBS tariff chart covering the period 1 January to 31 March 2026 has been provided to customers. ONE encouraged shippers with questions or account-specific needs to contact their local representative.
