ONE giga container vessel arrives at Port of Hamburg

ONE Innovation, the largest container ship of the shipping company ONE – Ocean Network Express, arrived in Hamburg on 15 July.

It is the first 24,000 TEU vessel of the Singaporean ocean carrier, that will call the port of Hamburg in Germany. The vessel has length of 400 metres, width of 61.40 metres, and container capacity of 24,136 TEUs.

Earlier in July, ONE Innovation arrived at RWG in the port of Rotterdam.

The vessel is equipped with a bow windshield, an energy saving device and an exhaust gas cleaning system to meet IMO emission regulations.

Additionally, the ship has been deployed on the FE3 service of THE Alliance’s Asia-Europe network.

“The shipping company’s decision to call at the Port of Hamburg with its most modern ship shows that we have done our homework. For example, the terminal operators have state-of-the-art container gantry cranes to efficiently unload and load a ship of this size,” commented Axel Mattern, CEO of Port of Hamburg Marketing.
