ONE adds new service connecting UAE with Bahrain and Kuwait

Ocean Network Express (ONE) announced the launch of a new service, connecting the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with Bahrain and Kuwait.

With this new Upper Gulf Service (UGS), ONE aims to provide a faster, more efficient, and more stable connection from the transshipment hub of Jebel Ali in UAE to the two aforementioned countries.

The port rotation of the new service will be as follows:

  • Loop-A: Jebel Ali (UAE) – Bahrain – Jebel Ali
  • Loop-B: Jebel Ali – Shuaiba (Kuwait) – Shuwaikh (Kuwait) – Jebel Ali

The frequency of the first loop will be weekly, while the second loop will have a rolling schedule, every 8-10 days.

The 1,730 TEU boxship X-Press Nuptse will be deployed on the first sailing from Jebel Ali to Bahrain (Loop-A) with an estimated time of arrival at Jebel Ali port on 3 March, while the 1,807 TEU container vessel Haian Mind will be the first ship on Loop-B, from Jebel Ali to Kuwait, with an ETA at Jebel Ali on 6 March.
