Oceanbulk orders two 3,100 TEU containerships

Dry bulk owner Oceanbulk has placed an order for two 3,100 TEU container vessels at Zhoushan Changhong Shipyard, with deliveries scheduled from late 2027 into early 2028, according to DynaLiners.

The move marks another example of a Greek shipowner entering — or re-entering — the containership sector. Other Greek companies making similar steps this year include Athenian Sea Carriers, Alberta Ship Management, Transocean Maritime, and Chios Navigation.

The order reflects growing interest among non-liner owners in modern feeder and mid-size tonnage amid continued demand from global operators.
