Ocean Network Express announces service updates for South America routes

ONE SATISFACTION

Ocean Network Express (ONE) has confirmed significant updates to its service network involving South America. These changes affect both the East Coast South America Express 2 (SX2) and the River Plate Express (RPX) proforma. Consequently, the carrier aims to improve its regional service levels through these strategic adjustments.

The SX2 service will adopt a revised port rotation beginning in April 2026. This route connects major Asian hubs with key Brazilian ports. Specifically, the rotation includes Pusan, Shanghai, Shekou, and Singapore. The service then proceeds to Rio de Janeiro, Santos, and Itapoa. Finally, it returns via Singapore to Cai Mep and Haiphong. ONE will announce the first vessel for this April departure soon.

Furthermore, the carrier is implementing a major change to its RPX service to enhance connections to Argentina. Starting in May 2026, the connection point for Argentina will move from Rio Grande to Rio de Janeiro Port. This relocation serves as a central update to the service’s structure.

The new RPX port rotation will focus on key regional terminals. It will include Rio de Janeiro, Zarate, Buenos Aires, and La Plata, before returning to Rio de Janeiro. Similar to the SX2 update, the company will name the commencement vessel for the May start at a later date.

These updates reflect a commitment to optimizing transit between Asia and the East Coast of South America. Therefore, the revised port calls offer logistics providers more direct access to critical markets in Brazil and Argentina.
