Ocean Alliance adds Yangpu port to East-West route

The ECX1/AWE4 service, operated by CMA CGM, Evregreen, COSCO and OOCL, as part of the Ocean Alliance’s network, has been expanded with the addition of the Yangpu port.

This update further strengthens the service’s profile as a de facto eastbound round-the-world loop, enhancing regional connectivity in southern China and Southeast Asia.

The revised rotation is as follows:

Laem Chabang (Thailand) – Cai Mep (Vietnam) – Yangpu (China) – Hong Kong – Shenzhen (Yantian, China) – Xiamen (China) – Shanghai (China) – Panama Canal – New York (US) – Savannah (US) – Charleston (US) – Cape of Good Hope/Indian Ocean – Laem Chabang.

The inclusion of Yangpu marks a strategic step in improving access to emerging Chinese cargo hubs while maintaining strong Transpacific and Transatlantic connectivity.
