NX Group has completed the merger of its primary Indonesian subsidiaries to create a unified freight forwarding powerhouse. Effective March 1, 2026, PT. NX Lemo Indonesia Logistik absorbed PT. Nippon Express Indonesia to streamline the group’s air and ocean operations.
The move marks the end of a fragmented structure where air and ocean services were split between separate entities. By consolidating these functions, the group aims to provide a “one-stop” contact point for customers, cutting through previous administrative complexities.
Strategic Integration
The merger follows the 2025 launch of the “One Indonesia” sales team. That initiative first introduced a cross-company structure to improve response times and solution mapping. This formal legal integration now solidifies that strategy.
Takafumi Masukata serves as President of the newly integrated PT. NX Lemo Indonesia Logistik. The company will operate out of its headquarters in Jakarta.
Growth Outlook
NX Group identified Indonesia as a critical growth engine within the ASEAN region. High GDP growth, a massive workforce, and an expanding consumer market continue to drive logistics demand.
The group expects the merger to:
-
Strengthen account management through a single point of contact.
-
Improve service quality by synchronizing multi-modal transport.
-
Boost management efficiency via a unified corporate foundation.
The consolidation allows the group to focus on aggressive growth strategies in the region while improving overall operational speed.
