New York/New Jersey port handles over 675,000 TEUs in May

For the month of May 2023, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey handled 676,311 TEUs, which translates to a 5.1% increase compared with pre-pandemic May in 2019.

With approximately 1.6 million TEUs so far in 2023, the US port is the country’s second busiest in terms of loaded imports.

In May 2023, the seaport transported 4.3% more cargo than the previous month.
