Neptune Pacific will increase freight rates to the Cook Islands from 8 October 2025. The adjustment applies to shipments bound for Rarotonga and Aitutaki, covering both dry and reefer cargo.
The company said rising costs have made the increase necessary to maintain service reliability. From Australia and New Zealand, the new surcharges will be:
-
Rarotonga – NZD 280 for 20’ dry or reefer, NZD 560 for 40’ dry or reefer
-
Aitutaki – NZD 873 for 20’ dry or reefer, NZD 1,674 for 40’ dry (no 40’ reefer option)
Neptune Pacific noted that the rate hike will help sustain operations on this critical South Pacific trade lane.
