Neptune Pacific has announced the implementation of a low sulphur recovery surcharge on cargo shipped from 1 October 2025 through 31 December 2025 across its transhipment trades linking Asia, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East to the Pacific Islands.
The surcharge will apply to all equipment types and will be levied in addition to existing freight rates.
For dry containers, the surcharge is set at US$ 101 per TEU, while reefer containers will incur a surcharge of US$ 151 per TEU.
This temporary measure reflects adjustments to rising fuel costs associated with low sulphur compliance across long-haul trade lanes into the Pacific.
