Neptune Pacific appoints Kim A Kristensen as new president

Neptune Pacific has announced the appointment of Kim A. Kristensen as its new president, effective 9 February 2026. Neptune Pacific is the leading shipping and logistics provider in the South Pacific and is owned by the privately held U.S.-based The Wonderful Company.

Kristensen brings more than 37 years of global shipping experience to the role. Most recently, he served as senior vice president at Asyad Line LLC, where he successfully launched a new container shipping line in the Middle East, driving strong revenue growth and profitability.

Prior to that, he was managing director of B-Gas A/S, where he led the Northwest European tanker operator to record financial results and consistent outperformance of market benchmarks. Earlier in his career, Kristensen spent 24 years with Maersk, holding multiple senior leadership roles across Europe, India and the Americas. During that time, he drove growth in commodity and refrigerated trades and led several operational transformation initiatives.

Throughout his career, Kristensen has built high-performing, cross-cultural organisations with a strong focus on customer-centricity and operational excellence. Coming from a Danish merchant marine family, he is deeply committed to the shipping industry and to strengthening Neptune Pacific’s position in the region.

“Container shipping has shaped the global economy and opened doors for even the most remote regions, a change I’ve been fortunate to witness over the past 30-plus years,” Kristensen said. “Neptune Pacific’s role as the largest carrier from Oceania into the Pacific Islands demonstrates how dedicated supply chains and containerisation can make a real difference for communities and trade.”

Kristensen succeeds Greg Wilson, who retired in September after a successful 19-year career with Neptune Pacific. Based in Singapore, Kristensen will spend his initial months visiting Neptune Pacific’s network to meet teams, agencies and customers across the region.
