Neptune Pacific announces BAF surcharge on U.S. West Coast trades

Neptune Pacific has announced the introduction of a Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF) surcharge applicable to shipments to and from the U.S. West Coast, effective 1 February 2026.

The surcharge will apply to cargo moving between the U.S. West Coast and Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific Islands, in both directions.

Under the revised structure, the BAF has been set at USD 478 per TEU, or USD 27.31 per revenue tonne (RVT), for all affected shipments.

Neptune Pacific also confirmed that an additional Emissions Control Charge of USD 25 per TEU will apply on all cargo moving to or from the U.S. West Coast.

In addition, the carrier noted that reefer and dry container bunker rates will be aligned on the U.S. West Coast trade.

Neptune Pacific advised customers to contact their local company representative for further information and thanked customers for their continued support.
