Malaysian authorities have had an active month intercepting attempts to smuggle electronic waste into the country in shipping containers.
Nearly 1,000 tonnes of e-waste were seized in five separate incidents, all in Port Klang.
Customs officers became suspicious after detecting discrepancies between the declared items and the actual contents in the containers.
