An investment framework agreement has been signed between Ga-Hyun Chung, SAS Shipping Agencies Services S.a.r.l. (SAS Lux), part of the MSC Group, and Sinokor Maritime Co., Ltd., establishing a joint ownership structure in the South Korean shipping company.

Under the terms of the agreement, SAS Lux will acquire a 50 percent stake in Sinokor Maritime and share joint control of the company with its current sole shareholder, Ga-Hyun Chung, who will retain the remaining 50 percent.

The proposed transaction was formally notified to the relevant competition authority on 25 February 2026.

SAS Lux is part of the MSC Group, which operates globally in the transport and logistics sector, providing ocean freight services as well as related supply chain solutions.

Ga-Hyun Chung controls businesses active in bulk cargo transportation and shipping operations, including the chartering of bulk carriers and tankers, with a focus on the maritime transport of liquid cargo.

The transaction is expected to strengthen collaboration between the parties and support the continued development of Sinokor Maritime within the global shipping market.
